Artificial stratification (A.S) refers to the layered and rock-like formations which emerge after applying a process that combines resin and foam.

A foam having a matrix of open cells is used so that they can be filled with liquid resin. Material experiments are being carried out to explore features and applications of combining resins and foams. Experiences and findings are translated into techniques and tools for building objects.
